May 2019 Veterinary Industry Report [INFOGRAPHIC]

Our veterinary industry analysis for May 2019 showed a nice increase in total active veterinary jobs – 19,332 – as compared to April 2019’s total of 17,666. Veterinary industry data regarding new jobs added rose just slightly, and most of those openings were for Veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians, and Animal Caretakers. The average age of veterinary job ads increased from 38 days to 44 days as well, which might indicate the labor market is getting even tighter.

In terms of veterinary job seekers, iHireVeterinary’s member base decreased by 3,416. However, our top four career titles continued to hold strong at 70,000+ each: Veterinary Technicians, Kennel Attendants, Front Office Staff, and Veterinary Assistants. We had approximately 3,000 more unique visitors to our site in May as well.
