Job Summary: Six Flags Over Georgia is seeking a reliable and skilled Line Cook to join our team at our refreshed food service locations. The Line Cook will play a key role in ensuring the efficient preparation and quality of food in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This position requires a keen attention to detail, adherence to recipes, and the ability to operate kitchen equipment with precision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare food items according to recipes and portion specifications, ensuring consistency, and quality in all dishes.
Properly use kitchen equipment, including ovens, dishwashers, fryers, grills, and other tools. - Accurately use knives and other kitchen tools for food prep tasks.
- Ensure all food items are prepared on time and in accordance with the park's high standards.
- Assist with inventory management and ingredient stock to ensure kitchen operations run smoothly.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Adhere to all Six Flags policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to maintain a productive and efficient work environment.
- Create and maintain positive guest experiences and interactions.
- Maintain punctuality and reliability for scheduled shifts, ensuring the kitchen is fully staffed and operational.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Kitchen Leadership and Park Management.
Pay Rate: $16.00-$17.00/hr
Skills and Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen with a strong understanding of food prep and cooking techniques.
- Ability to use kitchen equipment, safely and effectively, including knives skills, ovens, fryers, and dishwashers .
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Must have a flexible schedule and availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and maintain consistency in food preparation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to multi-task, and handle high-pressure situations.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Have the ability to withstand working in a hot temperature environment.
