Die Repair Technician

First Call Direct Hire is Recruiting for a 2nd Shift Die Repair Technician

Location: Edinburgh, IN
Pay: $22 - $24 per hour (based on experience)
Shift: 2nd Shift

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Use tools and dies to build fixtures and create new dies as needed.

• Repair dies, molds, and tools; disassemble and reassemble components as required.

• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to construct new fixtures, tools, and machine parts.

• Inspect completed tools and dies for imperfections that may impact functionality.

• Perform regular testing and setup of equipment, tools, and machines to ensure efficiency.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized workspace.

• Utilize CAD software for design creation and blueprint development (a plus).

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to safely and accurately operate measuring and production equipment.

• Thorough understanding of metallic properties.

• Capability to work independently and collaborate with engineers and machinists.

Education & Experience:

• On-the-job training available.

• Welding certification is a plus.

• Experience with TIG/MIG welding.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
