Job Description


Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain s a clean and safe work environment including using all safety equipment and following all safety practices.

  • Participates in oil sampling and performs corrective actions based on sample results .

  • Label s and tags reservoirs, equipment, inventory and delivery containers.

  • Troubleshoot s common lubrication-related equipment problems .

  • Coordinates inventory and routine ordering of lubricants.

  • Report s any discrepancies or conditions that require corrective maintenance.

  • Completes required quality core classes and uses skills and techniques presented.

  • Participates in Quality Initiative, continually improves processes, and quantitatively monitors processes.

  • Participates and leads in continuous improvement projects that may include extending lubrication lines, installing filter cart adapter kits on gearboxes and hydraulic units, and evaluating and installing automatic lubricators.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Behaviors Required:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent (GED ) .

  • 1 to 3 years of related experience in related industry .

  • Understanding of fundamental lubrication systems and contamination control .

  • Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle; must have valid license to operate a lift truck.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to use close vision and color vision. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. Work is typically performed in a factory environment and is usually very loud. In the factory environment, the employee may be exposed to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors.
