Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator Trainer
Location: Remote and Multiple Office Locations
*Must Live Near a Major Airport - Up to 90% Travel Required*
*Previous experience as an Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator Required*
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator Trainer to join our team. This role requires extensive travel-up to 90%-across multiple orthodontic facilities, and the ideal candidate must live near a major airport to accommodate this travel requirement. The Trainer will be responsible for training and mentoring Orthodontic Treatment Coordinators (OTCs) to deliver exceptional patient consultations, build strong relationships, and maximize conversions into orthodontic treatment.
The majority of work will be in a clinical environment, requiring availability for extended hours during peak periods. Flexibility in work hours to meet business needs is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing appropriate training to Orthodontic Treatment Coordinators (OTC)
- Demonstrate and guide OTCs in building rapport and relationship with patients
- Educate and train on how to deliver prices and financing options to improve conversions and start patients into Ortho treatment.
- Guide OTCs how to maneuver within the office to capture as many quality consults per day
- Partner with the office manager to help build a one team, one dream mentality by explaining the importance of referring patients to orthodontics
- Assists in patient education as needed
- Share best practices (e.g. tracking quality patients that want to start ortho treatment, confirmation process, how to set the schedule up for success)
- Follow-up with teams on a bi-weekly basis and assess if their trends are improving
- Serves as mentor and educational resource to staff
- Follow safety procedures and policies to ensure appropriate care is given
- Performs and holds others to the highest integrity by adhering to all government regulations, company standards, and company compliance programs.
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator; 5 years of experience preferred.
Required Skills:
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong customer service and people skills.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be willing to travel up to 90% across various Ortho facilities.
- Candidate must live near a major airport to accommodate frequent travel.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, parents, clinicians, and staff.
- Ability to operate a computer, keyboard, and standard office equipment.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 30 lbs and perform physical activities such as twisting, turning, bending, and stooping.
