We’re a close-knit, high-performing firm specializing in taxation and small-business accounting. Our client base consists primarily of high-net-worth individuals and small businesses who rely on us for expert guidance and personalized service. We’re seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented tax professional to join our team and help us continue to deliver top-tier service and advice.

Benefits:

  • 401k
  • Cover all professional licensees and continuing education costs
  • Flexible Hours: We understand work-life balance is important. You’ll enjoy a flexible schedule to accommodate personal commitments.
  • Collaborative Environment: Work closely with a small, dynamic team of professionals. You’ll have the opportunity for direct client interaction and the responsibility to lead client relationships.
  • Growth Opportunities: We are a growing firm, and there are plenty of opportunities to expand your role as the firm continues to thrive.
  • Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a supportive, work-life balance culture that values quality over quantity. We’re a team, and we work hard—but we also respect each other’s time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review individual, business, and trust tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Provide ongoing tax planning and advisory services to high-net-worth individuals and small businesses.
  • Direct client contact, fostering strong relationships and providing excellent customer service.
  • Joint supervision of two staff accountants, offering mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure the accuracy and timely completion of tasks.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of tax law changes, ensuring clients are compliant and maximizing tax-saving opportunities.
  • Manage multiple client accounts and deadlines effectively.

Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years of experience in tax preparation, with a strong understanding of both individual and business taxation.
  • At least 2 years of public tax experience in a CPA firm or equivalent environment.
  • A CPA license is preferred, but not required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Strong communication skills with a client-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in supervising or mentoring junior staff is a plus.

Why Stone Associates?

  • A supportive, inclusive environment where your contributions are recognized and valued.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Professional development opportunities.
  • Exposure to high-profile clients and complex tax situations that will allow you to continuously develop your expertise.

If you’re looking for a new challenge in a firm that truly values its employees and clients, this is the role for you. Bring your expertise to a place where your work has a direct impact—and join a team that appreciates your talent.
