Key Responsibilities

  • Provide psychological and cognitive screening and behavioral assessments and design effective individual consumer treatment plans (including Behavioral Support Plans) and goals consistent with Recipient Rights, State of Michigan AFC Licensing rules, APA and specialty board practice guidelines, and APA ethical standards.
  • Provide individual and group education, training, and psychotherapy when clinically indicated.
  • Provide leadership in formulating a consensus regarding client characteristics and development of a consistent treatment approach to identified goals in the context of interdisciplinary treatment.
  • Provide consultation services to individuals served, referral and funding sources, HNNR staff, and involved parties relevant to client treatment.

Specific Responsibilities-Non-Essential

  • Participate in program development, evaluation, and research activities to advance awareness of the consequences and treatment of BI.
  • Engage in education and training initiatives for employees.
  • Advance awareness of the HNNR BI program in our community through presentations at workshops and conferences and involvement with professional associations (e.g. WMBIN, BIA, APA, GRAMEP).
  • Provide psychological services to contractual agencies as an employee of Hope Network Neuro Rehabilitation Services.

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Job Requirements

  • Education: Masters degree from an accredited university in a clinical psychology health profession (e.g., Health Psychology, Rehabilitation Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology, or Counseling Psychology).
  • Licensure: Active Limited License for Psychology in Michigan.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in health service psychology. Preference for candidates with at least 2 years of experience working with neurological populations in an interdisciplinary treatment setting.
  • Demonstrated writing skills for professional documents, including clinical documentation and clinical work products in an EMR framework.
  • Proficiency in training, public speaking, professional education, and delivering effective presentations.
  • Expertise in psychological and cognitive screening assessments, behavioral evaluations, clinical treatment, and consultation within a healthcare setting.
