MaineHealth Maine Medical Center (MHMMC) is a multi-campus medical center with locations in Portland, Biddeford and Sanford. With a total of 929 licensed beds, MHMMC employs about 9,000 care team members working across a variety of specialized care, administrative and support functions, including clinical care delivery, medical education and research. Summary
The cook is responsible for the preparation and presentation of food production during scheduled hours. The cook will follow standardized recipes and work in a timely and efficient manner. The cook will comply with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards and follow food production programs and procedures.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- License/Certifications: Food safety certification required (e.g., ServSafe) and must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
- Experience: One year of relevant food production experience required. One year of specialized culinary training or institutional/retail cooking experience preferred.
