What this job involves: As an HVAC Technician at JLL, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various building systems and equipment, with a focus on HVAC and related mechanical systems. You'll work in a team environment, ensuring the efficient operation of building automation systems and adhering to safety standards.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Operating and maintaining building air handling units, refrigeration machinery, and other plant mechanical equipment
- Troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading building automation systems
- Conducting tests and documenting fume hood and exhaust lab device certifications
- Performing maintenance and repair work on HVAC equipment
- Keeping logs and maintaining required conditions throughout assigned areas
- Assisting and instructing others in equipment operations
Work Schedule: The position is permanent and full-time. Work may take place in either the maintenance shop and/or in the plant, depending on job requirements. You may be required to work outside in both winter and summer conditions.
This is a permanent, full-time union position with a rotating 7-day shift schedule. The rotation includes:
- Day shift: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Second shift: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
- Night shift: 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:
- Experience with building automation systems
- Knowledge of applicable codes, regulations, and SOPs related to HVAC and building systems
- Familiarity with specialty water systems (DI, RO, WFI, etc.)
- Experience with compressed air systems and exhaust systems
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, charts, and indicators
Required Skills and Experience:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Proficiency in the use of computer programs/systems
- Universal EPA Refrigerant Recovery License
- Valid driver's license
- Working knowledge of all applicable codes and regulations related to the field
- Ability to lift, bend, and move as required to perform job tasks safely
- Capability to operate required hand/power tools and test instrumentation safely
