Stubborn Mule Restaurant and Brewery is a family-owned and operated business. We live in Landrum-Campobello area and love it. Given the growth in our beautiful foothills, we wanted to bring a fresh, new concept to Landrum. Something that brought food, family, and friends together for a quick bite or a new family tradition. The decision to bring a restaurant-forward brewery was based off our experience with the brewpub scene, and seeing how it could be improved to bring a community together.

Family-oriented food & service comes first. We wanted a place you can gather for a celebratory meal or hang out on the lawn, enjoy a beer, and kick back with that view of Hogback Mountain.  Stop in, relax, and have a casual lunch after a round of golf or in the evenings, if you want a more elevated entree, we offer that too.   We take pride in delivering exceptional service, timeless flavors, and a place where tradition meets modern comfort.

The question that we get asked frequently is how did we come up with Stubborn Mule?  Well, we own a horse farm, have a few mules and donkeys of our own.  They are loads of fun, have quirky personalities, and are very smart.  One of our mules stands out: her name is Rosie. She is blind in one eye and has the sweetest personality, but she does things her way.  We decided to name our concept after Rosie, our Stubborn Mule.
