Since its founding almost 60 years ago, Leahey and Johnson has evolved into a performance-oriented, standard-setting specialist in civil litigation throughout the greater New York metropolitan area. The firm has earned Martindale Hubbell's highest rating "AV"-as have its founding and managing members, Peter James Johnson and Peter J. Johnson, Jr., respectively. Peter James Johnson, Jr. also has been named a "Super Lawyer" for the New York Metro area for the past several years.

The firm concentrates in high-exposure matters involving personal injury or death; commercial, corporate, real property, insurance and communication controversies; and client crisis management. Our initial investigation will lead immediately to advice and counsel based on the firm's collective understanding of and expertise in the latest applications of the law.

The firm's President, Mr. Johnson, Jr., has earned a reputation for excellence in the most complex litigation. A graduate of Columbia University School of Law, with extensive experience in government and as a broadcast legal analyst and commentator, he also serves on judicial selection and attorney fitness committees for the First and Second Departments.
