Louisville Auto Spring & Brake Co., founded in 1927, is a truck parts and service facility located downtown in Louisville, Kentucky. In the beginning years of operation, its primary service was the leaf spring and coil spring service business. Over the years, per customer request, the business model started to change into what it is today. Basically, a full service fleet maintenance shop, from air conditioning to wheel alignment. In 1983, Lexington Auto Spring Co. was founded. The general manager and assistant manager were originally employees at Louisville Auto Spring, but both gentlemen moved when the business was started. They are there today with all that experience. In 1996, both companies joined HDA-TruckPride, the largest independent marketing co-op in the US and Canada. This allowed for more diversity both in parts and in service. The name Louisville & Lexington Auto Spring became two fold. Yes, both companies are heavily inventoried in spring and suspension parts, but by being a member of HDA- TruckPride, both companies handle from a/c parts to Webb Wheels. When we decided to diversify into other parts, we decided to use the companies' initials to create the LASCO name, to let people know we provide much more than leaf springs. We are a full service parts and service facility. The use of LASCO heavy duty gives the Co.'s a better image for the part's business.
