ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Cyber Network Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, Virginia. As a Sr. Cyber Network Engineer, you will be responsible for expanding network modeling of various vendor network devices, such as routers, switches, load balancers and firewalls as well as virtual network devices and cloud environments. Research various network devices features affecting access and create a proposal for modeling such features in RedSeal. As such, you will introduce new data streams from network devices into RedSeals analytics engine.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work closely with customers on onboarding, updates and troubleshooting issues with cybersecurity tools
- Provides insight into efficiencies that can be gained from the current workflow based on an understanding of the customers requirements
- Work with Engineers on troubleshooting and building proof-of-concept network topologies
- Analyze customer feedback to assist in process improvement
- Performs engineering support and system administration of specialized cybersecurity applications and systems to include installation, configuration, maintenance, patching, and back-up/restore
- Provides Tier 3 maintenance and engineering support for deployed cybersecurity technologies
- Identifies potential conflicts with implementation of any cybersecurity tools within the enterprise and develops recommendations to remediate these conflicts
- Provides ideas for automating repetitive project tasks and metrics collection through the use of scripts and assists with testing/implementation to production
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree
- 5+ years of related network experience (firewalls, routers, switches and load balancers)
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux systems, general operating system security practices, TCP/IP networking, and network security concepts is required
- Knowledge of and the use of AWS cloud technologies
- Must have or be willing to obtain IAT Level II or higher certification within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, Java Script, Node.js
- Knowledge of federal Cyber Security Guidance such as NIST SP 800-37 Guide for Applying the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to Federal Information Systems and NIST 800-137 Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) for Federal Information Systems and Organizations
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/Polygraph
Physical Requirements:
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
