Software Engineer

ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Engineer to join our team in Linthicum Heights, MD . This is a full time position with 5 days being onsite.This role is vital for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems within secure environments. This opportunity provides a specialized professional services contract supporting the Cryptographic Solutions Program, delivering critical technical expertise for National Security Systems network cryptographic products.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for providing advanced engineering, cybersecurity analysis, and cryptographic solutions to enhance the security and certification of products used across the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community.
• Will be responsible for driving innovation in data protection and secure computing while helping safeguard the evolving needs of modern national security environments.
• Responsible for functional programming, software design and the ability to write unit, integration, and system-level tests.
• Responsible for working in a modern software development environment while using Linux/Windows OS and tools/technology such as VSCode, Docker, Gitlab, Scapy, Python, YAML, JSON, HTML JS.
• Responsible for the knowledge and understanding of network protocols and cryptographic principles.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional Software Engineering experience on projects with similar Software processes may be substituted for a bachelors degree
• Fourteen yrs experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, complexity is required

Clearance Requirements:

• Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
