The Veterinary Recruiter plays a key role in attracting and hiring a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization through a variety of sources. This role will play an important part in building a strong employer brand for our company to ensure we attract, hire, and retain the most qualified employees. The Veterinary Recruiter will actively participate in the on-boarding process to fully support managers and supervisors across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the full lifecycle recruitment process to build both active and passive doctor candidate pipelines for open roles
  • Collaborates with operational leaders to define critical hiring needs and develop a tailored recruiting approach
  • Manage vacancies on job boards, maintain data integrity utilizing ATS, and provide ongoing data-centric updates to leadership
  • Utilize multiple sourcing channels to engage and attract top talent, leveraging market intelligence to drive results
  • Represent Pieper Veterinary at conferences and on campus at veterinary schools
  • Prepare offer documents, administer background checks and follow up on all other pertinent onboarding information
  • Build rapport with operational leadership ensuring regular candidate follow up and collaborative communication

Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred
  • Experience in a healthcare and/or veterinary industry is a plus but not required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be able to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time
