Shift: 2nd Shift | Full-Time | Direct Hire
Pay: $24.00 – $26.00/hr (based on experience)

Are you detail-oriented with a strong mechanical background? We're hiring a CNC Tool Setter for 2nd shift in Greenfield, IN. This hands-on role is essential to prepping CNC machines for production by ensuring all cutting tools are set up accurately and efficiently.

Focus:

Hands-on setup of tools in CNC machines before production begins.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare CNC machines by loading and setting cutting tools (drills, end mills, inserts, etc.)

• Measure and offset tool lengths, diameters, and angles

• Ensure proper installation of tools based on job setup sheets or operator instructions

• Work closely with machine operators and setup technicians to maintain the workflow

• CNC machines, such as lathes, mills, grinders, and other machining tools.

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Familiarity with CNC machines and tooling basics

• Good understanding of precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, tool presetters)

• Strong knowledge of tooling materials, precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.), and automotive manufacturing processes.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Exceptional competency in CNC machining within the manufacturing or automotive industry

• Comfortable working 2nd shift hours
