PARTNER TRACK TAX MANAGER

Location: San Francisco Bay Area- Hybrid Role

Position Summary:
As a Partner Track Tax Manager , you will play a key leadership role in tax preparation, tax strategy consulting, and managing a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and small business clients. The firm values professionals who take full ownership of the tax process rather than delegating work to junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, Individual, and Multi-State Tax Returns
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities for clients
  • Manage a diverse client portfolio, ensuring exceptional service and compliance
  • Conduct tax research, federal tax compliance, and tax analysis
  • Provide expert advisory services for business succession and high-net-worth individuals
  • Oversee tax planning for foreign tax situations and complex financial structures
  • Work closely with firm leadership to grow the practice and transition into a partner role

Qualifications:

  • CPA License (Required)
  • 5-10 years of income tax preparation experience in public accounting
  • Proficiency with Lacerte Tax (Highly Preferred)
  • Experience preparing and reviewing complex tax returns
  • Strong background in federal tax compliance, tax analysis, and advisory
  • Prior experience managing client portfolios in a boutique or small CPA firm

Preferred but Not Required:

  • Management-level tax accounting experience
  • Experience with QuickBooks (Pro & Online), Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with OfficeTools CRM
  • Knowledge of business succession planning and foreign tax situations

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $125,000+ DOE
