Description

The Multi Domain Solutions Division at Leidos is looking for an experienced Enterprise Network Architect to support a fast-paced program with the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in network engineering, a strong understanding of DoD IT requirements, and proven leadership skills. The Enterprise Network Architect will plan and execute the deployment of managed services. workstations, and networks, ensuring compliance with DoD policies and security standards. In addition, they will collaborate with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. The Enterprise Network Architect will be an integral member of the program's leadership team, collaborating on strategic initiatives and ensuring alignment with overall program goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of network engineers in the design, implementation, and support of network infrastructure for DoD environments.
  • Work closely with the PMO team to align network engineering efforts with overall program objectives and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain network architecture documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standards.
  • Conduct network performance monitoring and optimization to ensure high availability and reliability of services.
  • Deploy and configure networking devices and infrastructure both on-site at customer locations and remotely from Leidos facilities.
  • Design large-scale Local Area Networks (LANs), Campus Area Networks (CANs), and Wide Area Networks (WANs).
  • Integrate on-prem customer networks and infrastructure with cloud resources, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Implement security best practices and ensure adherence to DoD security requirements, including Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Manage network incidents and problems, coordinating resolution efforts to minimize service disruptions.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Conduct regular assessments of network performance and capacity, providing recommendations for improvements.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and updates to management and key stakeholders, including the PMO.
  • Manage organizational compliance with Leidos policies and procedures.
  • Set the tone and direction of the organization for moral and ethical leadership.
  • Build a culture grounded in the Leidos values, beliefs and expectations and highest standards of ethical and respectful behavior.

Basic Qualifications:

  • US Citizen with at least a Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a SCI prior to your start date.
  • Bachelors Degree with 12+ years of experience or Masters degree with 10+ years of experience. Additional years of experience maybe considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Expert knowledge of networking protocols, routing, and switching technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, SNMPv3, VLANs).
  • Expert technical knowledge of Palo Alto, Juniper, and Cisco devices & technologies.
  • Expert knowledge of DoD network architectures and processes.
  • Certification in security management to meet DoD 8140 requirements (e.g., CISSP, CISM, COMPTIA Security+).
  • Advanced networking certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA Network+).
  • Advanced experience with network security principles and technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems, including virtualized and cloud-based technologies.
  • Familiarity with DoD regulations and standards, including RMF and NIST frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong experience leading teams to provide networking services to customers over large networks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Experience with DoD & commercial SATCOM systems.
  • Experience with Software Defined Networking, bandwidth virtualization, Quality of Service, and other quality and resilience enhancing networking technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP).
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-700, AZ-305, or other advanced level certifications).
  • Experience with cloud networking and virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with Azure Stack family of products.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools & technologies (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies in the networking and defense space.
  • Previous experience working with federal government or military customers.

Pay Range: Pay Range $112,450.00 - $203,275.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
