Job Description


Job Summary:

The Support Technician position is responsible for support of all incoming requests to the helpdesk via phone, email, and walk up. Addresses all incidents, according to service level agreements, through the service desk system.

This position is located at our corporate office in Southfield, MI and requires a presence in the office 4 days a week, with 1 remote day.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to all incoming requests to the helpdesk
  • Regular follow up with customers and management
  • Active Directory account management
  • Follow all Help Desk policies, standards, and procedures
  • Document and/or improve procedures relating to standards and policies
  • After hours call support as required.
  • Other IT related duties as assigned
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Some travel may be required

Education & Experience:

  • Associates degree in Computer Science or related computer discipline, or equivalent
  • Minimum three years helpdesk support or related relevant experience
  • Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Work in a collaborative team-oriented environment
  • Analytics, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in Microsoft enterprise environments
  • Experience in supporting Microsoft workstations
  • Knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals, such as printers and scanners
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
