Job Summary and QualificationsThe Pharmacy Resident fulfills the requirements of the PGY-1 Residency Program at Parkridge Health System. This position provides clinical services, staffing services, and drug information to patients, physicians, nurses, and other pharmacists as a primary responsibility. The pharmacy practice resident completes a medication use evaluation and a major research project that is presented at a regional residency conference. The Resident assists with the education of pharmacy students from colleges of pharmacy.
The Pharmacy Resident will be a fully integrated team member in the department, as such the Pharmacy Resident will assist in the performance of daily pharmacy tasks including but not limited to: filling orders for medications; monitoring patient medication therapies; providing drug information; checking medications, IV mixtures and compounded medications prior to distribution; maintaining records; supervision of technical staff; imitation and monitoring of drug dosing and drug information consults; other duties as assigned.
What you will do in this role:
- You will fulfill the requirements of the PGY-1 Residency Program at Parkridge Health System.?
- You will provide clinical services, staffing services, and drug information to patients, physicians, nurses, and other pharmacists as a primary responsibility.?
- You will complete a medication use evaluation and a major research project that is presented at a regional residency conference. ?
- You will assist in the perfo rmance of daily pharmacy tasks including but not limited to: filling orders for medications; monitoring patient medication therapies; providing drug information; checking medications, IV mixtures and compounded medications prior to distribution; maintaining records; supervision of technical staff; imitation and monitoring of drug dosing and drug information consults.
What qualifications you will need:
- Tennessee Registered Pharmacist within 60 days of start date
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm Practice Residency - PGY1
- D egree from a College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmacy Education
TriStar Summit is a 200 bed comprehensive facility. We serve Davidson, Wilson and surrounding counties. We include a Level III Trauma Center. We offer a full array of acute care services.
