Job Description
An Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse assists with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. Responsibilities include patient preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care in a specialized radiology suite.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare patients for procedures such as angiography, embolization, or biopsies.
- Monitor vital signs and sedation, alerting the radiologist to any changes.
- Maintain a sterile field and assist with device management.
- Educate patients about procedure steps, potential risks, and recovery.
- Document procedural details and coordinate post-procedure care instructions.
- Within hospital radiology or imaging departments.
- Requires technical proficiency with imaging equipment and contrast media.
- Involves close collaboration with radiologists, technologists, and other specialists.
