Registered Nurse (RN) - Interventional Radiology

An Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse assists with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. Responsibilities include patient preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care in a specialized radiology suite.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for procedures such as angiography, embolization, or biopsies.
  • Monitor vital signs and sedation, alerting the radiologist to any changes.
  • Maintain a sterile field and assist with device management.
  • Educate patients about procedure steps, potential risks, and recovery.
  • Document procedural details and coordinate post-procedure care instructions.
Work Environment:
  • Within hospital radiology or imaging departments.
  • Requires technical proficiency with imaging equipment and contrast media.
