Here are the Details -

Position: Licensed Mental Health Professional-LCSW or LPC

Schedule: 24 hours per week

Location: Bedford County Jail, Bedford, PA

Responsibilities:

• Conducting initial and ongoing assessments of inmates' mental health needs

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, focusing on stabilization, skill-building, and preparation for re-entry into the community

• Collaborating with corrections staff, medical professionals, and probation officers to ensure comprehensive care

• Facilitating referrals to internal programs and external community resources for ongoing support upon release

• Providing group and individual therapy sessions for patients in the MAT/MOUD program

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Licensed Mental Health Professional, or License-eligible (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.)

• A Master's Degree in counseling or social work is required

• 1+ years of experience in a mental health services setting, preferably in a correctional healthcare or similar environment

• Will possess a strong understanding of psychopathology, diagnostic nomenclature, and psychological theory, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Active CPR/BLS certificate required (American Heart Association/American Red Cross guideline approved)
