Tax Accountant

Responsibilities:

- Manage all aspects of the company's federal, state, and local income tax compliance.
- Prepare and review quarterly/annual income tax provisions (ASC 740).
- Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to identify potential tax planning opportunities.
- Assist with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize the company's tax liabilities.
- Maintain accurate tax records and documentation.
- Collaborate with other members of the finance team on tax-related matters.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in tax legislation and accounting standards.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment (e.g., logistics, transportation, manufacturing).
- Strong understanding of supply chain operations and the impact on tax implications.
- Proven ability to analyze complex data and identify trends related to inventory movement, transportation costs, and logistics operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- CPA preferred.

Location: Mandeville, La (Onsite. 5 days a week)
