ManTech seeks an experienced and passionate, career and customer-oriented Senior SPLUNK Systems Engineer to join our team located in Fort Meade, MD . As a Senior SPLUNK Systems Engineer, you will utilize your expertise in Linux with Scripting skills (Bash, Python), as well as your experience in Cloud/AWS administration, hardware/software engineering, configuration, and deployment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities.
Guide users in formulating requirements and provide advice on alternative approaches, conducting feasibility studies as necessary.
Provide technical leadership for integrating requirements, design, and technology.
Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations.
Develop technical documentation, system architecture, and system design documentation.
Guide system development and implementation planning, including the preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
Interact with the Government on Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated issues or conflicts.
Assume ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables in the Systems Engineering area.
Communicate effectively with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
Minimum Qualifications:
14 years of experience as a Systems Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
In Lieu of Degree 19 years, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity can be substituted.
2 years of experience in architecting, deploying, and administering SPLUNK.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Nifi is desirable.
Clearance Requirements:
Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as, the copy machine/fax machine/computer/printer.
