Industrial Maintenance Electrician

Job Title: Electrician
Reports To: Project Maintenance & Engineering Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Electrician with hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure within the facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical components, be proficient in troubleshooting, and contribute to ensuring operational efficiency. Candidates with primarily residential or field service experience may not be the best fit for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute electrical installations and repairs.
  • Inspect and maintain electrical components, including transformers and circuit breakers, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Utilize testing devices to diagnose and report electrical issues.
  • Assess and determine appropriate wire sizes and conduit systems for various installations.
  • Install, program, and troubleshoot electrical equipment, including PLC systems.
  • Conduct and document preventive maintenance (PMs) on all facility electrical systems.
  • Support project planning by identifying required electrical materials and estimating supply needs.
  • Apply knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical processes to safely troubleshoot machinery.
  • Perform minor building repairs related to structural components, including roofing, ceilings, walls, and flooring.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promptly report any health or safety concerns.
  • Utilize general knowledge of carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, welding, painting, and masonry as needed.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Follow all food safety and quality guidelines as required in the manufacturing environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proven electrical experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including conduit installation, panel wiring, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with PLC ladder logic programming and industrial automation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
