Scope:
As a Speech Pathologist at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care by:
Carrying out speech therapy evaluations, program planning, and treatments for hospital inpatients and outpatients.
- Conducting thorough speech therapy evaluations, program planning, and treatments for both hospital inpatients and outpatients.
- Collaborating closely with the Physical Medicine Director to coordinate speech therapy activities with other hospital disciplines and develop programs for department expansion, community and physician marketing, budget needs, and administration.
- Working independently with minimal contact with other Speech Language Pathologists, ensuring autonomy and professional growth.
- Engaging in diverse areas, including inpatient, outpatient, adults, pediatrics, and swallows, providing a wide range of experiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in speech pathology
- Current license to practice speech-language pathology in the state of practice
- Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC)
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association
- At least six (6) months of experience in the acute care setting, including experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies
