Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure team provides services and answers questions from internal client base, and human resources field representatives.
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Partner with internal benefits team and management to plan strategy for annual open enrollment,
- Develop benefits materials to ensure and enhance employee understanding of benefits in coordination with vendors.
- Responsible for benefits vendors and partner administration, in accordance with contracted terms.
- Evaluate benefits processes and recommend improvements that harness technology and leverage partner tools.
-Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to employee benefits.
- Develop communication materials and coordinate review with Sr. management, human resources, legal, business operations teams. Oversee the production of and dissemination of communication materials.
- Monitor performance of subordinates according to established monitoring standards, conducts performance appraisals, makes decisions on personnel actions including hiring, firing and disciplinary actions.
- Bachelors degree in business or related field required.
- 5 years of benefits, retirement or carrier management required.
- SCA benefit administration and management preferred.
- 3 years supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong project management.
- Must be well-organized and adaptable to situational changes.
- Must demonstrate strong analysis/problem solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are critical.
- Intermediate Excel skills required.
- Experience with Workday, UKG or other HR/benefits systems is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate findings into clear and concise documents and presentations.
- SCA and compliance knowledge is preferred
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience with benefits reporting, metrics, critical thinking and benefits cycle details
- Experience with health plan design, benefits compliance and vendor benefits management
- Problem root cause analysis and resolution
- Ability to interact with employees
- National travel up to 3 times per year
