DIRECTOR OF NURSING (DON), Generations at Oakton Pavillion, Des Plaines, IL
Generations at Oakton Pavillion in Des Plaines, IL, has an Opening for a Director of Nursing. Must be a Registered Nurse (RN). We seek an Inspirational Leader who is Empathetic and Organized - Someone who Sets Clear Expectations and Objectives, and can Guide, Inspire and Motivate!
This is a Full Time Role with a Salary of $135k - $145k, Plus Potential Performance Bonus, Plus Full Benefit Package
Generations at Oakton Pavillion boasts a Critical Care Respiratory Unit, as well as Dialysis, Dementia, and Rehabilitation Units. We also have LVADs on Premises.
Responsibilities of the Director of Nursing (DON):
- Manage the nursing department
- Direct staff and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to provide physical and psychological support to the residents and their families
- Supervise scheduling of sufficient staff to ensure uninterrupted excellent service to residents at all times
- Direct involvement with interviewing and hiring potential employees
- Assist in completing monthly audits of sample EMR charting
- Review and assist with admissions/referrals
- Prepare clinical nursing reports for the quarterly Quality Assurance meetings
- Prepare Performance Improvement reports as required by JCAHO guidelines
- Supervise the MDS/Care Plan Coordinator
The Ideal Director of Nursing (DON) Will Have:
- Minimum two (2) years of Director of Nursing (DON) experience
- Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Clinical and supervisory experience
- Previous skilled nursing and/or hospital experience
- Outstanding leadership and relationship building skills
- Compassion, tolerance and understanding of older adults
