SUMMARY

EyeCare Partners is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to be a trusted member of the EyeCare Partners accounting and finance team. The Senior Accountant is a member of the Gross Profit Accounting team within Finance, which includes subject matter experts over bank activity transactions and works closely with our Treasury team and Operations Leadership. This team is responsible for recording bank activity for all lines of business. This individual will utilize their technical accounting expertise to complete timely preparation of monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and work with the Director of Accounting and Accounting Manager to provide critical analysis of bank activity and variances within cash accounts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with Corporate Treasury team to ensure all bank activity has been posted and is complete
• Prepare journal entries to ensure transactions are entered into the accounting system accurately and by business day three each month
• Effectively work with various departments to ensure activity is being recorded and investigating items that need more clarification
• Perform GL account reconciliations and monthly analysis of various cash accounts
• Prepare for financial audits and assist the Director of Accounting with the audit process

QUALIFICATIONS

• Highly skilled in use of Excel spreadsheets and other accounting software. Use of SAP a plus
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills, customer service and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize and resolve variances
• Ability to multitask simultaneously and effectively prioritize work
• CPA certification is a plus
• Specialty knowledge of systems relating to job function
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations for this position; general understanding of HIPAA guidelines

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Minimum required: Bachelors Degree in Accounting
• Minimum required: 2-5 years of relevant experience in corporate accounting
• Banking or treasury experience a plus

SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

• This position is located in St Louis, Missouri. Candidates living in Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, N. Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia may also be considered for remote work.
