Position Summary:
The Director, Clinical Services leads our clinical operations in home care and hospice services. This role requires strategic vision, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. This individual is a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for driving clinical excellence, compliance, and operational efficiency while fostering a culture of compassion and innovation. The Director, Clinical Services will champion initiatives to advance interdisciplinary patient care and quality outcomes across home care and hospice in an integrated and cost-effective manner. This individual will act as the Chief Nursing Officer in Home Care and Hospice, working collaboratively with the system Chief Nursing Officers (CNOs) currently engaged at each of the hospitals and other affiliates, in collaboration with the medical staff, as well as serving as a liaison to the CNO Council. There will be close collaboration with the Director, Clinical Integration & Business Development on execution of system initiatives and areas of identified growth. There will also be close collaboration with the Director, Patient Services (CHHA), the Director, Hospice and the Director of the LHCSA on program development and clinical practice. She or he will have demonstrated experience managing all aspects of patient care services and leading measurable improvements in quality, patient satisfaction and cost of care. The Director, Clinical Services will drive new and innovative practices by challenging all basic assumptions. He or she will also have an understanding of the new healthcare paradigm, approach to patient care, and be open to alternative access points to care for patients (i.e. telemedicine, alternative patient care providers).

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday Full Time Standard Business Hours (rotation of admin on call may be necessary depending on dept needs)
ATTRIBUTES
Masters Degree in Nursing (MSN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
Proven track record of managing clinical operations and achieving measurable outcomes.
Familiarity with electronic health record systems and quality improvement methodologies.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on patient care excellence.
Capacity to balance clinical priorities with financial and operational considerations.
Proven ability to deliver sustained levels of high patient satisfaction.
Experience working in highly matrixed organizations.
Experience in integrating complex clinical operations and distinct cultures.
Demonstrated record of accomplishment of redefining and creating new models of care focused on quality outcomes for the communities served.
Results-driven leader with experience in developing, designing and executing clinical programs that create measurable outcomes in quality, service, finance, growth and people.
Experience with population health and value based care deliver.
In-depth understanding of home care and hospice regulations, standards, and best practices or related experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Strategy
Provide strategic leadership for clinical services, aligning with the health systems purpose, vision, and values.
Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of interdisciplinary clinical programs, policies procedures, and protocols to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
Collaborates at the local and system level with other leaders to develop and implement appropriate nursing and patient care services policies and procedures to enhance efficient and effective operations and delivery of services within areas of responsibility.
Collaborate with executive leadership to develop strategic goals, operational plans, and performance metrics for home care and hospice services.
Communicates and collaborates with medical, professional, and support service leaders to coordinate nursing care programs and designs ongoing mechanisms to monitor delivery of nursing care.
2. Clinical Operations Management
Provide guidance to clinical teams, including nursing, therapy, social work, and other interdisciplinary team members.
Ensure optimal staffing levels and staff competencies to meet patient care needs.
Oversee the coordination of patient care services, ensuring a seamless and patient-centered approach across all disciplines.
Monitor and improve patient outcomes, satisfaction scores, and clinical benchmarks.
3. Delivery of Healthcare Services
Has overall responsibility for developing patient-centered and team-based approaches to nursing care with full coordination across the continuum to support initiatives in population health.
Establish partnerships to develop new care models for clinical care teams in delivering patient care.
Develop clinical pathways to ensure continued optimal outcomes, reduced variability in clinical care and improved efficiencies across the system.
4. Team Development & Culture
Foster a positive, collaborative work environment that promotes professional growth, employee satisfaction, and teamwork.
Mentor and develop clinical leaders, empowering them to achieve excellence in their roles.
Lead efforts to recruit, onboard, and retain top clinical talent.
5. Financial Oversight
Participate in development and management of budgets for clinical operations, ensuring financial efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
Consider Value Based Care (VBC) initiatives in budget optimization and operations.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and resource optimization without compromising patient care.
Identify opportunities for revenue growth through expansion of innovative clinical services.
Collaborate with the finance team on reimbursement strategies and payer relations.

Minimal Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
Minimum of 8 10 years of nursing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Required Licensure/Certification Skills:
Current New York State Registered Nurse License or the ability to obtain one within 12 months of hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

14607The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
