Facilities Manager

Our client, in foods manufacturing, is seeking a Facilities Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have PLC, HVAC, boiler treatment, deionized water, fire suppression and alarm systems experience which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: 82k - 122k

Available 24/7: for calls and they pay extra if they ever have to come in on an off shift/emergency.

Whats the Job?

• Responsible for the asset reliability, maintenance, and performance of all Utilities & Facilities equipment, installations and building in the factory, leading the facilities technicians, reporting into this position. This involves being in compliance and passing all EHS / Regulatory / Legal internal and external audits related to Facilitie s.
• Ensures that required work is planned, scheduled, and performed on a timely basis and is not forgotten or neglected, effectively manages maintenance backlog. Communicates needs for overtime if backlog requires.
• Collaborates with maintenance planner to manage work tasks for internal/external resources.
• Serves as lead for internal and contracted maintenance activities related to the maintaining, repairing, and improvement of site assets.
• Maintains equipment, parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.

Whats Needed?

• Associates Degree in a technical field with 5+ years facilities or production maintenance experience and/or 2+ years of experience in a food manufacturing maintenance role is preferred. Consideration will be given to candidates with High School Diploma and 5+ years experience in a production maintenance environment.
• Knowledge of computerized Maintenance Management Systems (SAP Plant Maintenance)
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Background in Chemical processing or manufacturing with some kind of building or facility management.
• Skills should include HVAC, boiler treatment, deionized water, fire suppression and alarm systems.
• High level knowledge of PLCs, and understand how to read PLC ladder logic.
• A controls engineer background is beneficial.
