Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Controller to join our client's team at a manufacturing site located approximately an hour and 45 minutes southwest of Chicago. We need a strategic, yet hands-on professional bringing at least 10 years' experience from a manufacturing plant . Incumbent should be a problem-solver with prior managerial experience; This role has approximately seven direct reports.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations of the plant, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Implement and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial performance and operational efficiency.
• Manage ERP systems, with a preference for SAP.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in the manufacturing sector, with a strong background in cost accounting.
• Advanced degree (Masters) in a related field is a plus.
• Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are highly desirable.
• Proven leadership and management experience.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, with SAP experience preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
