A busy hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in Huntington, WV.
This anesthesiologist position follows a 7 AM 3 PM schedule, with 7 ORs running after 3 PM and 4 ORs operating from 5 PM 11 PM, after which call begins at 11 PM. The general call ratio is 1:10 for CRNA backup beeper call to the MD, with no post-call day off. OB call is handled separately, with one in-house CRNA (post-call day off) and another on backup beeper call (no post-call day off). Cases include General, ENDO (5,000 cases per year), and OB (2,640 cases annually, including 1,773 epidurals and 866 C-sections), with CRNAs designated specifically for OB if qualified. The practice operates under a 1:4 supervision model and includes 29 ORs (19 General, 4 ENDO, 3 OB, 2 ASC), staffed by a team of 8 anesthesiologists and 36 CRNAs.
