Packaging Team Lead

We’re Hiring: Packaging Team Lead – Beezle in Frederick Maryland

Beezle is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Packaging Team Lead to join our growing team in Maryland. In this role, you'll oversee day-to-day operations of the packaging line, ensuring all products meet our high-quality standards. You will assist with recordkeeping, supply management, and compliance procedures while providing essential support to the Packaging Department Manager.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with strong operational expertise, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for fostering a productive, positive team environment.

Location: Frederick, MD Status: Full-time

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee Packaging Operations: Lead daily operations on the packaging line, ensuring efficient workflows and maintaining accurate batch production records.

• Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure quality control (QC) data is recorded accurately and consistently in real-time. Collaborate with the Operations Manager to ensure compliance with METRC and company procedures.

• Training & Mentorship: Serve as an authorized trainer, coaching and developing team members on processes, quality standards, and safety protocols.

• Inventory Management: Monitor cannabis and soft goods inventory, tracking supplies to ensure continuous production. Coordinate closely with the Operations Manager to plan inventory needs.

• Operational Support: Generate and communicate daily task lists. Lead morning meetings to discuss production goals, assignments, and key updates.

• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for increased efficiency and implement Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance workflow.

• Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Operations Manager and leadership team, sharing insights on operational performance and any challenges encountered.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in a packaging or manufacturing leadership role, preferably within the cannabis industry

• Strong understanding of packaging processes, quality control standards, and compliance requirements

• Basic proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, and label generation software

• Effective communication and leadership skills

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities

• Ability to train, manage, and develop staff

• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles

• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment
