Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our aggregate products to prospective customers including but not limited to ready mix concrete producers, precast concrete producers, underground construction & utility contractors & general contractors, You are a self-driven and results oriented individual that enjoys building long lasting relationships focused on trust, professionalism, and innovation.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Establish positive working relationships with customers and prospective customers stakeholders by evaluating bid opportunities to determine cost-effective quotations, proposals, and product
  • Maintain communication with existing and prospective customers to advertise our aggregate products while visiting job sites regularly to elicit customer feedback.
  • Develop and monitor territory intelligence, building permits, market size, competitors, and customer base to support current sales targets.
  • Review plans and project specifications and work with plant management and QC to insure we can supply the project with the correct size of aggregate.
  • Engage with Plant Management and Operations to ensure customer volume demands can be met by discussing project volumes, delivery schedules, and order changes.
  • Maintain current knowledge and understanding of TXDOT, ASTM & NCTCOG aggregate specifications and test methods while also handling Quality Control in the field.
  • Manage dispatch operations for all external customer deliveries to include negotiating truck freight rates, interaction with customer field personnel and trucking companies dispatch & staff.
  • Receive and track customer disputes in a timely manner as well as work directly with credit / receivables management on account aging and collections.

WORK LOCATION & HOURS

  • The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per
  • Travel to various job sites, customer offices and the plant in Bridgeport, TX will be required.

WHAT WE WOULD LIKE FROM YOU

Education & Experience

  • Diploma or undergraduate degree in Business Administration/Commerce, Sales, or Engineering, CET accreditation is preferred.
  • A combination of sales knowledge and experience in the Aggregate & Ready Mix Construction industry is considered an asset.

Competencies

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to present information to various
  • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience required
  • Proven passion for customer service and a high standard of service delivery as demonstrated through the ability to successfully acquire new accounts and execute a sales plan.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with an ability to successfully manage priorities in a timely
  • Valid Class 5 drivers license
