Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise day porters, night janitors, floor care technicians, and pressure washing teams at the assigned primary site.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards for janitorial services and facilities maintenance at the site.
- Oversee staff training, development, and scheduling, emphasizing cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and customer service tailored to the needs of the property manager or general manager, while managing payroll, labor hours, and overtime to ensure efficient use of labor resources and adherence to labor budgets.
- Maintain accurate records of expenditures, supplies, personnel, equipment, labor budgets, and expense budgets for cleaning supplies, chemicals, and consumables for the assigned site.
- Act as the primary liaison between the property manager or general manager and the janitorial staff, effectively communicating directives and ensuring satisfaction at the site.
- Monitor inventory levels for cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock and proper maintenance at the site.
- Conduct regular inspections to uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and facility upkeep at the site.
- Address and resolve client or staff concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in janitorial services, facilities maintenance, or a related field, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or vocational training in facilities management or a related field preferred but not required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of janitorial cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and equipment maintenance (e.g., floor care machines, pressure washers).
- Certifications such as OSHA training or IJCSA (International Janitorial Cleaning Services Association) certifications are a plus but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 45lbs, stand for long periods, operate cleaning equipment, and work in various weather conditions (e.g., for pressure washing).
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required.
