Performs the finishing/painting of furniture units from a kit of components previously prepared and tailored for finishing.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Finishing of products:
- Product completion per Production Schedule
- Meet all critical product characteristics and color matching master sample.
- Maintain work station clean, organized and safe.
- Use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required.
- Maintain the time sheet accurate and on time.
- Observe all company policies and standard practices.
- Participate on all required continuous improvement activities.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Minimum Qualifications
-2+ years of previous experience of wood finishing techniques such:
- Staining (oil and water base)
- Toning
- Sealing
- Top coating
- Sanding and buffing.
- Reading and understanding mixing specifications.
- Proficient using equipment and hand tools such:
- Spraying guns.
- Use of spraying booths.
- Sanders.
- Polishing machines.
-Comfortable working in a fast paced team environment while managing multiple projects.
-Strong attention to detail and flawless results.
-Ability to communicate with multiple levels within an organization and be a team member
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED), or work experience which demonstrates performance competency
