Job Summary:

  • Provides security services to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff
Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED), or equivalent, is preferred

Licenses:

  • N/A

Certifications:

  • Certification in Non-Violent De-Escalation & Crisis Intervention Training, required within 90 days of hire or transfer

Experience:

  • One to three (1-3) years’ experience in the field of law enforcement and/or security management; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

Skills:

  • Requirements will include successful completion of orientation checklist and skills/credentials/competency requirements of specific area of work.
  • Able to maintain a high awareness of teamwork
  • Demonstrates proficient time management skills
  • Able to respond to and cope with emergency situations professionally and calmly
  • Focused, patient and calm, performing well under pressure in a stressful environment and able to take appropriate action
  • Must be flexible, able to work as needed for appropriate departmental coverage
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervisio
  • Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job, especially with regard to activities impacting patient or employee safety or security
  • Additional languages preferred
