Social Worker - Foster Family Agency (Hybrid)

(559JOB SUMMARY: Provide trauma-imformed therapeutic case management services to children and non-minor dependents who have been placed in the foster care system. Case management that helps with issues that are related to trauma from domestic violence, homelessness, physical, sexual and emotional abuse. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: Able to carry a caseload up to 18 cases and able to develop theraputic treatment plans. Work as part of a treatment team with the childs county social worker, resource parents, therapists, school and any other treatment partners on the team. Complete assessments, reports and weekly case notes to keep the child's case files in compliance with Community Care Liscening (CCL) and 4Evergreen's quality assurance policy.

QUALIFICATIONS: A Master's Degree required from an accredited or state approved graduate school, in social work; social welfare; marriage, family, and child counseling; child psychology; child development; counseling psychology or social psychology. Social work/case management experience preferred.

Must be able to pass fingerprinting for: Child Abuse Index Clearance, FBI and Department of Justice Criminal Record Clearance.  Have a valid California Driver's License, automobile insurance coverage and an automobile that is in safe operating condition. Must be able to pass First Aid and CPR within 30 days of start date and a Health screening (including a TB clearance). 

Strong psychosocial assessment skills with minimal supervision, strong time management skills, able to prioritize work assignments; ability to communicate effectively with professionals and clients/families and ability to make sound decisions. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Able to frequently visit resource family homes and other community locations, where exposure to noise, smoke and other hazards may be possible. The position involves frequent local travel and occasional out-of-town travel (dependiung on case locations).
