Role Overview:
The Director of Sales will spearhead all sales initiatives, driving strategic growth and exceeding revenue targets for the hotel. This role demands a proactive leader who can analyze market trends, cultivate strong client relationships, and deliver impactful sales strategies. Responsibilities include direct sales outreach, client site visits, and meticulous sales performance reporting.

Core Responsibilities:
- Consistently achieve and surpass individual and team sales goals, aligning with hotel budget objectives.
- Develop and execute dynamic sales strategies to optimize revenue generation.
- Formulate and manage a comprehensive Hotel Business Plan.
- Effectively manage and qualify lead sources to ensure a robust sales pipeline.
- Conduct strategic sales calls to key accounts and prospective clients.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, providing accurate variance and projection reports to management.
- Leverage corporate Revenue Management tools to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Optimize the utilization of company, brand, and local CVB programs.
- Mentor and coach sales team members, fostering high performance and professional development.
- Empower the sales team to make informed, profitable business decisions.
- Ensure effective use of all available sales tools.
- Drive group and transient room night sales at premium average rates.
- Execute the Business Plan to achieve overall sales objectives.
- Engage in daily sales activities, including client entertainment, promotional campaigns, direct marketing, and industry events.
- Strategically review group bookings, manage rates, and enhance preferred guest acquisition.
- Maintain active presence in relevant industry publications and online listings.
Education and Technical Skills:
- 2+ years' exp. in a Sales leadership capacity
- 8+ years' exp. in hospitality, ideally within Hotels
- Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university.
- Ideal: Proficiency in Delphi operating systems, RI and ONQ
- Idea: Familiarity with meeting broker platforms such as Cvents, Lead link and Hotel Planner.
