Summary
Responsible for performing crucial tasks related to the maintenance and functionality of highly technical electromechanical semiconductor manufacturing equipment and chemical distribution system. Work closely with other engineers, technicians, operators, and suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve process issues.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot and optimize solar cell manufacturing tools ensuring equipment uptime
- Assist in designing and executing experiments to evaluate new materials, methods, and equipment for solar cell fabrication
- Analyze process data and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Implement process control plans and monitor key performance indicators.
- Provide technical support and guidance to production teams and resolve process issues.
- Prepare and maintain process documentation, such as standard operating procedures, work instructions, and reports.
- Loading chemicals into chemical bunker using pumps, totes and storage tankers.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in an engineering discipline (preferably Mechanical or Electrical Engineering)
- 3 years of experience in automated manufacturing equipment maintenance and support
- Experience in photovoltaics or other semiconductor manufacturing is desirable.
- Experience with implementing or sustaining an Engineering Change program consistent with ISO-9001 or equivalent is desirable
- Experience with implementing or sustaining lean manufacturing practices is desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Mandarin speaking is a plus
Working Conditions
Work is primarily in a manufacturing environment with moderate to heavy exposure to loud equipment and toxic chemicals.
Physical Requirements
Physical requirements include frequent walking in the plant, visual acuity to identify potential hazards and occasional lifting up to 50lbs.
