Nurse Manager Postpartum

A Southern California nonprofit Medical Center is actively seeking a Nurse Manager Postpartum to oversee their well-regarded Mother Baby Unit.

the Nurse Manager Mother Baby will provide clinical leadership to the 37-bed women and infant unit that cares for more than 3,000 births per year. Other responsibilities include providing staff evaluations, managing patient flow, offering staff and patient education, participating in hourly rounding, and serving as the liaison between staff and leadership teams. ). Providing the highest level of prenatal care, an experienced team of experts, along with a highly-trained support staff, specialize in High Risk and Complex Pregnancies.

As the Nurse Manager of Postpartum and under the direction of the Director of Maternal Child Health, you will assist in directing and supervising all functions and activities in the acute care setting. You will be responsible for overseeing and directing the delegation of tasks to appropriate personnel, exercising supervisory authority and independent judgement, ensuring awareness of ethical and safe standards of practice, drive advancement by implementing evidence-based practices, making recommendations regarding the performance evaluation of supervised staff, and ensuring that the Mother and Baby Unit is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws, and regulations. Top applicants will have previous managerial experience, completion of clinical experience in NLN (National League for Nursing) accredited school and hold a national certification. A BSN degree required.
