Job Title: Marketing & Sales Analyst Job Description:

Summary

The Marketing and Sales Analyst provisions and interprets sales data, formulates reports and recommendations to facilitate strategic decision making. This position is responsible for turning data into information and applying qualitative and quantitative techniques to interpret sales and market data to support the Customer Engagement and Marketing teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform ongoing analysis of sales trends and KPIs, and use data to provide and support strategic recommendations that drive growth.

  • Generate easy-to-interpret reports, visualizations and dashboards based on collected data.

  • Use analytical methods to identify areas for operational improvement and streamlining processes.

  • Participate in strategic and tactical brainstorming sessions to create strong, executable growth plans.

  • Partner with the Business Development Team by providing regularly scheduled reports on performance and target goals based on trends.

  • Regularly review and enhance lead scoring methodology (including automations) and criteria to optimize performance of lead flow process, technology, and prescriptive use of CRM

  • Provide visibility and analysis of targeted audiences to help campaign planning and execution.

  • Utilize reporting tools to identify areas of opportunity in the business and create plans in partnership with management to drive overall results.

  • Analyze sales and performance data and reports, interpret results, spot anomalies and trends that require attention.

  • Work with internal partners to define target data architecture that may include development of new operational data store(s).

  • Assist team managers with reporting duties including: preparation of Quarterly Reports, Quarterly Reviews, Annual Business Plans, etc.

  • Establish strong relationships with 3rd-party data partners to ensure data accuracy and ongoing reporting improvements; support CRM functions and reporting.

  • Work with internal partners to develop data governance policy ensuring ongoing consistent and effective management of key data assets throughout the organization

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Strong IT capabilities and experience with sales, customer, ERP/CRM, reporting and Financial Systems.

Strong analytical and technical problem solving skills with a willingness to learn new technologies.

Self-motivated team player.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Excellent analytical skills, attention detail & investigative skills.

Able to multitask, prioritize, manage time and problem solve.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelors degree required. Concentration in statistics or information systems preferred.

  • 5+ years experience in sales planning, forecasting, data analysis, CRM.

Computer and Software Skills:

  • Google Suite and Microsoft Office.

  • Experience with Salesforce.com CRM system. Einstein and/or Tableau experience a plus.

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel ability to run, review, create and analyze reports and models.

  • SQL proficiency preferred

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:

Google Analytics, Google Adwords and/or Salesforce certifications are a plus.
