Job Summary

As the Systems Administrator, you will responsible for the installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, documentation, and security of systems supported by the Messaging, Collaboration, and Security Services (MCS) group.

Job Description

We are seeking a Systems Administrator to be responsible for the installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, documentation, and security of systems supported by the Messaging, Collaboration, and Security Services (MCS) group. This position will be full time and hybrid.

What Youll Do

  • Receives, analyzes, and implements DNS record requests

  • Installs and maintains MCS supported cloud and server-based systems including file and print, active directory, DNS, DHCP, Azure File Services, and SharePoint

  • Collaborates and coordinates with stakeholders and necessary team members to ensure they are configured to prevent service interruptions

  • Researches, designs, implements, and administers various programs onto servers to include monitoring tools, antivirus, backup, recovery agents, technical support tools such as ADUC, Print Management, UPS software, as well as other software packages where requested and approved

  • Works with supervisor and senior technicians to implement new and existing cloud services, verifies configurations, and ensures that it is operating optimally

  • Examines application performance, and overall service capacity to make timely recommendations of upgrades, additions, and replacements

  • Collaborates work with team systems administrators, including the planning, testing, implementation, and support for infrastructure and services administered by the team

  • Coordinates operational responsibilities and projects in conjunction with managers

  • Monitors/analyzes DOIT Help Desk work orders; performs tier 2-3 evaluation, troubleshooting, and resolution over the phone or via PC whenever possible, or transfers to a senior level specialist, as required

  • Follows all established DoIT procedures for documenting activities, problem reporting, and scheduling infrastructure changes

  • Develops and maintains documentation related to MCS processes, procedures, and standards

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Five (5) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience with Microsoft Server DHCP & DNS Management

  • Five (5) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience with Windows Active Directory and Azure AD Identity Administration

  • Five (5) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience with Microsoft Windows Server administration

  • Five (5) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience with Enterprise Print Server management

  • Three (3) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience with PowerShell/Graph Scripting

  • Three (3) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience with Azure File Services administration

Desired:

  • Three (3) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience with MS SharePoint, Teams & OneDrive - troubleshooting user access from the backend - authentication, permissions, licensing

  • Three (3) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience with Exchange Online Administration Experience

  • Three (3) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience with Information Security

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitors
