Reporting to the Senior Manager, Engineering, you will work onsite in the Holly Springs office. The engineer will provide engineering support to the overall site reliability program through the implementation of the HSP site-wide reliability program. The HSP reliability program will ensure identification and prioritization of equipment and component failure modes and plan the actioning and track the completion for the necessary work required to increase system availability, performance, and quality through the optimizing of maintenance practices. The role will also support Investigating, evaluating, promoting and implementation of methods to improve overall process operability and equipment reliability for all manufacturing equipment including utilities and HVAC systems equipment, while ensuring that the requirements of cGMP manufacturing are maintained through engineering-led continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities
Maintenance Support:
- Support maintenance staff in implementation of the Asset Care Management Program per the HSP Reliability Program.
- Development and implementation of reliability KPIs. This will be conducted through the creation of dashboards to support maintenance staff implementation of equipment base condition monitoring and equipment center-lining action planning.
- Support maintenance staff in review and modification of maintenance practices, job plans, PM frequencies, and opportunities for PM improvements through PM Optimization evaluations for all manufacturing equipment including utilities and HVAC systems equipment.
- Support equipment asset care deep dives for identification, prioritization and implementation of maintenance continuous improvement projects for all manufacturing equipment including utilities and HVAC systems equipment.
- Supports the development and integration of maintenance standards and best practices including preventative and predictive maintenance practices.
Engineering Support
- Develop standard of work practices and tools (toolkit) for HSP Reliability Program implementation.
- Train Process Engineering staff to use HSP Reliability Program tools.
- Perform equipment continuous improvement (CI) management and bad actor reporting utilizing Reliability Engineering tools such as Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Risk Based Inspections (RBI), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) calculation, Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), Asset Criticality Assessments, PM optimizations, equipment history analysis, failure predictions, effectiveness checks and other(s) to maximize equipment reliability.
- Recommend and track implementation of reliability CI improvement projects for all manufacturing equipment including utilities and HVAC system equipment.
- Support analysis of equipment failures and scoring of risk priority number (RPN) for all manufacturing equipment including utilities and HVAC system equipment.
- Support asset critical assessments of equipment itemized within the Asset Management Planning (AMP) database for HSP site time to equipment recapitalization benchmarking.
Qualifications:
- MS/MBA/BS/BA in Engineering, Business Administration or Life Sciences preferred or local equivalent
- Minimum 5+ years related industry experience required.
- 2+ year(s) experience in pharmaceutical/biotech operations working with both bulk and filling/packaging equipment.
- Direct experience with regulated environments (i.e. cGMP, OSHA, EPA) preferred
- Experience in equipment and mechanical design, with emphasis on mechanical breakdown prevention and root cause analysis
