Job Responsibilities
  • Take initiative to meet challenging project timelines and hour budgets;
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities for project success;
  • Debug effective and safe control programs, which meet end user requirements and company expectations;
  • Work with Robotic Programmers and HMI Programmers to ensure full functionality of the system;
  • Maintain quality of equipment shipped;
  • Ensure control programming of equipment and tooling is complete, safe, and functional;
  • Meet requirements for internal runoffs, safety inspections, and other quality control procedures;
  • Clear communication with project management staff and supervisors on issues that may arise;
  • Debugging of electrical and mechanical systems as needed for operation of all machines;
  • Effective communication with robotic programmers regarding necessary requirements to ensure a project runs smoothly;
  • Uphold company quality objectives and play an active role in reaching continuous improvement objectives;
  • Willingness to travel as required; and
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills
  • High attention to detail and quality;
  • Ability to plan and execute daily and weekly scheduled tasks;
  • Ability to keep work area clean and organized;
  • Willingness and ability to follow directions from peers within the Integration department;
  • Excellent team player with organizational and time management skills;
  • Safely operate fork trucks and overhead cranes;
  • Bachelors degree in Mechatronics, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent; or Associates degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science; or equivalent with experience will be considered;
  • 1-2 years experience in PLC programming;
  • Machine programming (PLC/HMI) experience - Rockwell, GE;
  • Safety system programming and troubleshooting experience;
  • Network programming and troubleshooting experience;
  • Ability to read an Electrical Schematic;
  • Commitment to company values; and
  • Educational, training and experience requirements may be modified at the management teams discretion.
Nonessential Skills and Experience
  • Safety (OSHA, SDS), ANSI (RIA) standards.
Environmental, Health and Safety
  • Understand the Companys EH&S policy and how it relates to this job;
  • Be aware of OSHA & EPA laws and regulations as well as company rules and policies that pertain to this job;
  • Work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner and observe all company EH&S procedures;
  • Immediately notify the supervisor if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly or if there are any questions regarding EH&S procedures; and
  • Attend required EH&S training.
