Accounting, Tax and Planning

Key Responsibilities:

• Bookkeeping:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Record financial transactions and reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy.Holistiplan+1T3 Technology Hub+1
  • Manage general ledger entries and ensure proper classification of expenses and revenues.

• Accounting:

  • Prepare financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Analyze financial reports to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

• Tax Preparation and Compliance:

  • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for businesses and individuals.
  • Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and optimize tax strategies.
  • Provide tax planning advice to minimize tax liabilities and maximize financial benefits.

• Financial Analysis and Advisory:

  • Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Advise clients on financial matters, including cash flow management, investment opportunities, and risk management.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop financial strategies that align with their business goals.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a small business environment.

• Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred but not required.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Drake Tax.
