Job Description:

The position of Inside Sales Manager will require to build and maintain multiple high-performing inside sales representatives who are able to meet and exceed assigned quotas. Supervise professional and support level employees within the sales function, coordinate execution of sales/customer/market analysis, and report on findings to guide business decisions. Will analyze direct, indirect, and intercompany sales data and customers and lead projects as well as initiatives to ensure the overall growth of sales revenue and compliance with corporate standard operating procedures.

 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Sell company products and services using both traditional and non- traditional selling methods, as well as relationship building, in an effort to achieve maximum market penetration with existing and new customers in an assigned geographical territory.
  • Support the prospecting of new customers by using using cold-calling, leads generated by referrals or lead lists, fellow employees and/or word of mouth, with the ultimate goal of growing the number of customers in the sales territory and exceeding the sales goal.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals
  • Check in regularly with direct reports to get updates on activity and to provide coaching, direction and/or assistance as needed.
  • Coach direct reports on selling techniques, sales strategies and tactics with the ultimate goal of helping them to grow revenue.
  • Review activity of direct reports to ensure appropriate levels of activity and success.
  • Participate in joint sales calls with direct reports to evaluate selling technique and overall approach while selling beyond the immediate plant opportunity wherever possible.

Required Skills: 

  • 4-5+ years leading an Inside Sales Team for a small to midsize company
  • Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring a sales team
  • Must be willing to do and lead others on high volume calling
  • Team Leadership qualities required
  • Salesforce experience preferred
