THE OPPORTUNITY

The contribution of our Finance teams is vital to the performance, profitability, and continued growth of the Primient business. Across Finance, we are exploring new and better ways to harness data, improve decision-making and add value while optimizing the investment we are making in our plants and people.

The senior financial analyst role is responsible for all commercial finance matters across our product lines. This critical role will support and partner with our Commercial organization by providing timely and insightful decision support analysis to drive better decision making enabled by delivery of efficiency and effective commercial reporting and planning, processes and tools.

Key responsibilities: Sr. Financial Analyst

  • Be a trusted financial partner to Product Line Management team.
  • With the VP, FP&A, continue to foster and embed a culture of fact-based management and ensure that robust data is provided on a timely basis to commercial decision makers to enable such fact-based decisions to be made
  • Providing input into and review of major commercial agreements (including all significant customer agreements, and where applicable, procurement & capital proposals) across the commercial business. Key components of this role are to ensure that agreements are commercially sound, and will manifest themselves in the financial results
  • Will play a key role throughout the annual contracting round, working with Product Line Management & SVP Sales on setting contracting and pricing strategy and taking the lead for progress reporting and ensuring all relevant contract approvals are obtained
  • Responsible for leading the annual budgeting, planning and forecasting activities for one of our Commercial Product Lines
  • Responsible for leading all aspects of the annual budget, rolling monthly forecasts as well as mid-month outlooks with limited oversight
  • Support the sales organization with the monthly demand planning process that will involve working closely with S&OP and production planning to ensure there is a full understanding across the sales organization of product availability, any actions required manage/control demand, risks and opportunities to the underlying budget/forecasts
  • Alongside Product Line Management, establish financial goals and targets for each financial planning activity, helping to drive further efficiency across the business
  • Presentation of the outcomes of the financial planning exercises to the relevant internal stakeholders while providing critique and recommendations as to the robustness, stretch and achievability of such plans
  • Ensure a strong control environment is in place and maintained
  • Working closely with the controlling team, ensure that a strong control environment is maintained across all commercial activities affecting Sweeteners and that all group policies and procedures are fully complied with

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelors degree in Finance or Finance related areas
  • Proven experience in business unit financial performance analysis; 2-4 years working experience
  • Good analytical skills
  • Demonstrates thought leadership and an innovative mindset
  • Excellent ability to build rapport and develop collaborative working relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a wide range of peopleup, down and across the organization.
  • Tough-minded, decisive, confident, but respected and approachable, and projects this image.
  • Capable of leading and managing multiple and challenging assignments concurrently; and to move swiftly and decisively, but collaboratively.
  • Familiar with dashboards and performing business models with multiple scenarios. (Power BI)
  • Strong Excel and Power Point skills required.

Total Rewards The annual pay range estimated for this position is $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 and is bonus eligible.

Please note that while this range reflects the full spectrum of compensation available for this role, individual compensation will be determined based on several factors including your experience, skills, and alignment with the role's responsibilities. During the interview process there will be an opportunity to discuss how your background fits into the pay range.
