The Development Engineer- Mechanical will be responsible for the development and support of equipment, including upgrades of existing equipment, and introduction of new equipment. The post holder will report to the Associate Director - Machine Construction and ProcMon-Fri 8am-4pm
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Taking ownership of PA Manufacturing requests from design to ImplementationAssisting with the design of various equipment development projects as requiredMechanical component design using Solidworks and AutoCadGenerating engineering drawings for manufacture as required to support Operations and Design TeamsGeneration of equipment drawings, and layouts to support existing and new projects
Qualifications:Required Experience / Education:Bachelor's degree in EngineeringPrevious experience in an Engineering environmentIntern/Placement experience, min 6 months
Preferred Experience:
Intern/Placement experience in a Life Science/Pharma environmentEngineering drawing in a manufacturing environment
Required KnowledgeKnowledge of Materials science, properties, selection and applicationManufacturing techniques, Milling,turning, Additive ManufacturingAutoCADSolidworks in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Knowledge:CAM SystemsPneumaticsHydraulicsPLCC++
